Hi Gayle, I have watched all of your reed making videos on YouTube and would like to try to make one, so am purchasing your reed making instruction book. I have purchased a soprano crumhorn from the Von Huene Workshop which I should receive this week and I suspect it will need a new reed at some point. We have just started our Renaissance band with a viol consort, two crumhorns, an alto cornamuse, recorders, a drum, and a sackbut. Since I am a French horn player, I am playing the sackbut from time to time, but I am also playing recorder and soprano crumhorn so we need another person to play the sackbut. Our community is rather small, so our talent pool is a bit shallow, but perhaps things will look up. My friend Dainis, who inquired about getting a Rackett from you ended up purchasing a Great Bass Crumhorn from the Early Music Shop. All of us also play in the Sheridan College Bands and Orchestra, so we are not new to the notes, just the instruments, which we are crazy about.
