  • Live Summer Early Music Classes through the Community Music Center 2022. The 8 week term starts Thursday July 7th and will meet in Kenilworth Park in Portland at 5:45pm.  Instructors: Gayle and Phil Neuman. The music will be a choice selection of Renaissance, Baroque, and more for recorders, strings, and some pieces will be suitable for early reeds and brass.  The repertoire will be different from that of the online Consort Classes.  To register go to

  • Early Scandinavian and Lutheran Concert in Astoria, Oregon with Gayle and Phil Neuman: Sunday July 31st, 2022 at  4:30pm: Peace First Lutheran Church, 565 12th St, Astoria, OR 97103. Ensemble De Organographia will perform a program of music on instruments familiar to Martin Luther, including the earliest settings of Lutheran hymns by Johann Walther and Caspar Othmayr, as well as music by King Henry VIII with whom Luther corresponded.  Also some of the earliest notated music from Denmark, Sweden and Norway will be included by composers Borchgrevink, Klug and the “The Netherworldly Outdoor Concert”, which includes a period eyewitness account of its ‘supernatural’ performance.  For tickets go to https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/5515081
  • Renaissance Music for Summer in Scappoose, Oregon with Gayle and Phil Neuman: Friday August 26th, 2022 at  7:30pm: Scappoose Public Library, 52469 SE 2nd St, Scappoose, OR 97056. (more details will be coming soon.) Ensemble De Organographia will perform a program of festive music and dances on a wide array of unusual instruments of the 16th century guaranteed to be memorable!
  • Advanced Consort Class Fall 2022 term (for advanced and upper intermediate players): The new 10 week term begins Wednesday October 5th at 7:00pm PT and Saturday October 8th at 10:00am PT on Zoom.  Cost: $100*.  The 90 minute sessions include playing a melange of renaissance, baroque, medieval and modern music with the ORB Trio in real time with performance advice, historical information and lively banter.  Come join the fun!  To register go to the Join and Donate page and make a $100 donation and write”Consort Class” in the ‘special instructions to seller’, or if that window doesn’t appear write to us at pneumantartold@gmail.com and let us know you’d like to take the class.  See Consort Class Online for details.
  • Intermediate Consort Class Fall 2022 term: The 10 week term begins Tuesday October 4th at 7:00pm PDT and Saturday October 8th at 1:00pm PDT on Zoom.  Cost: $100*.  The 90 minute sessions include playing a melange of intermediate level renaissance, baroque, medieval and modern music with the ORB Trio in real time with performance advice, historical information and lively banter.  Technique and interpretation advice and finger exercises will be geared towards players of intermediate ability, with a bit more repetition and somewhat fewer pieces than the advanced consort class.
